A early-ish morning...up at 6:45 then
on the bus to Animal Kingdom for a 8:20 Tusker House reservation!
Once again, John was “randomly”
chosen to go through the metal detectors.
We were there a bit early so we took
our time getting to Tusker House and I was able to get some nice
pictures.

This time at Tusker House it was MUCH
better than last time. Last time we went we were in a food coma and
didn't eat all that much! Great buffet, lots of choices, and love
the Jungle Juice!

First thing we did was went right over
and rode the Safari. Lots of animals were out and active! The
hippos out of water and making noises, there were white rhinos
everywhere, including in front of the bus in the road and the
giraffes were close to us.

Next we headed to It's Tough to be a
Bug for our FastPasses and then we got Wilderness Explorer book for
Rebekah to do during the day. We spent the day finding the
Wilderness Explorer badges, and it was a lot of fun! It did not take
us out of the way and brought us to new laces and we did learn a few
new things!

Sadly the Maharajah
Jungle Trek was closed. Wish I knew, I did not see it posted
anywhere.
After getting some more Wilderness
Explorer badges, we headed to Expedition Everest for our FastPasses,
I asked to ride in the front row and it was AWESOME! Then when we
got off the standby line was only 15 min, so we did it again, back
row this time (MUCH rougher than the front).

Lunch time. We did a quick service at Yak and Yeti. I got the Curry Chicken, John got the Honey Chicken and Rebekah had my side dish of Fried Rice.

Then we slowly made our way over to
Dinoland, getting more Wilderness Explorer badges as we went. I will
add here that I REALLY don't like the carnival atmosphere over there.
It is not Disney nd it does not fir the theme of the park at all!
So, we rode Dinosaur 2x (FastPass and
then standby of less than 10 min).

On our way to get more Wilderness
Explorer badges, we stopped and got a new FastPasses for the Safari.
We made way to Planet watch, we had
never bee there before. The train ride was very cool, you are able
to see some of the animal barns and for me the large animal
caretaker, I thought it was awesome. They were doing an ultrasound
on a snake they rescued in the park when we were in there. The
petting zoo part was blah, but I work on and grew up on a farm it was
boring, but clean and the animals were happy and healthy.
So, the train back to the main park and
then over for the FastPass for safari again. This time we saw the
cheetahs, they were very cool!
Then we quickly ran through the exhibit
Trail next to the Safari to get the rest of our Wilderness Explorer
badges and then headed out to the Wilderness Explorer kiosk to finish
it! Doing the Wilderness Explorer badges was a great way to make
this usual ½ day ark for us into a full day park!
4:00 came and we decided to grab a bus
to POP, drop stuff off in the room and grab another bus to Disney
Springs and head over to Trex for our 6pm supper! We were not
really sure how much we like it, to be honest! It was super loud,
dark (and oddly colored), and loud, and loud. The food was good (but
you could not really see it in the lighting), but did not really
outweigh the atmosphere in our opinion. I got the Mastodon Stuffed Chicken (Marinated Chicken Breast, Stuffed with Artichoke Hearts and Creamy
Spinach, Topped with Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Lemon Butter, Served with
Red Skinned Mashed Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables). John got the Bronto Burger (A 100% Beef Burger, Piled High with a Fried Onion Ring, Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles, and Cheese, Served with Waffle Fries) and Rebekah got the, you guessed it, the kids Mac-n-Cheese.

Off for a little window shopping (in
prep for tomorrow shopping). We did get a few things: 2016
Tshirt, earrings, 2016 pin, Duffy
medium TsumTsum, Bymax Infinity, candy at Goofys, I don't remember
what else.

Finally, to tired to do more, we
grabbed the bus back to POP and CRASH DEAD!
Steps walked: 22,696 (10.39 miles)
The animals were having a good time while we were gone!
!! Maharajah wasn't on my radar either but I see it listed now! Hmmm.... Also, these Memory Maker pictures are fantastic!!
