This was our planned day off! We
“slept in” until 8:30ish. Got to the the POP food court for
breakfast. I had a bagel (with peanut butter we brought from home),
a pastry and a banana. Rebekah had, once again, the Kids Breakfast
Platter, and John had a danish and some strawberries.
Rebekah took this while I was eating breakfast
Then it was time for Rebekah to catch
up with her homework packet. So we grabbed a table poolside for some
homework time! We spent about an hour there in the sun and
surrounded by Disney doing the not so fun stuff.
Homework time!
Homework time with some BIG friends!
Time for lunch, to the POP food court
we go! I had the turkey sandwich again, so good! Rebekah had the
kids pizza again and John had the meatball sub – sorry, I forgot
pictures this time!
Then we headed to Disney Springs and
shopped like there was no tomorrow! We started in Art of Disney
store and drooled over a lot of things there...if we only had a
bigger house! Then to Mickey's Pantry where I got a huge Haunted
Mansion mug, some tea and teapress. Next was the pin store..this was
our weakness this trip...pins...lots of pins (mostly for trading).
We SO need to bring more pins to trade next time!! Then we went over
to the toy store to check for new TsumTsums (nothing new) so Rebekah
got a Duffy and Thor. Off to World of Disney for Duffy doll and an
Official Park CD. I really fell in love with a Star Wars purse. I
wanted it. Bad. But I could not spend that much money one it.
Maybe another time. Then we headed to the West Side to visit the new
Star Wars and Super Hero stores, both were small and had stuff we had
seen in the parks already, but they were cool. Back up to Goofy's
candy (I got a chocolate chip mickey cookie and Rebekah go an Olaf
marshmallow pop). And lastly hit the Christmas store for 2016
ornament for us and angel ornament for Nana.
Playing in the fountain at Disney Springs
Bus back to Pop, John ran to drop off
stuff in the room and I stopped over to the concierge to check what
credits we had left on our Dining plan.
Grabbed the bus to Magic Kingdom then
bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge for our supper at Boma. I loved the
lodge. We had some time before our reservation so went outside to
see animals.

The buffet and restaurant atmosphere
were great, and it is totally on our to do again list. The food was
really good, nice and diverse, even Rebekah was happy there. The
service was quick good and atmosphere was a bit crowded, but overall
every good.

On our way out we stopped Lodge store
and grabbed a souvenir mug for Memere and Pluto pen for Rebekah. So
we hopped on the bus to Magic Kingdom and decided to do a bit of a
monorail tour. At the Magic Kingdom we hopped on the monorail to the
Ticket and Transportation Center, then grabbed the monorail to EPCOT.
I love the ride into and around EPCOT on the monorail at night.
John decided to go to the room while Rebekah and I decided on a QUICK
trip into EPCOT. We rode Spaceship Earth 2x in 20 min, love it!!
Yea...fun...really!
I promise...she does smile
Almost there...
Tired, we then headed back to
the room for the night!
Steps walked: 16,560 (8.06 miles)

Disney - the only place I will let an 8 year old eat a chocolate and
Oreo covered marshmallow at 10pm!
